NPT pipes of brass and copper both were very loose inside both valves I purchased with Teflon tape and thread sealant, why?

Check your through-hull fittings to see whether they are Natnl Pipe Tapered, Natnl Pipe Straight or Combined.Groco has all variants. For marine use, get the bronze.

For my saltwater marine application, I wanted a bronze ball valve to reduce deterioration due to electrolysis. This Groco Full Flow In-Line Ball-Valve meets that requirement. Next, I wanted a ball valve that opens and closes smoothly without too much resistance. Again, this Groco Full Flow In-Line Ball-Valve meets that requirement.
