Beckson Deck Access Plates are Watertight, Non–Jamming, Strong & Durable, Easy to Use, Available in a variety of Sizes, Colors, & Textures, & will provide years of dependability to all Mariners. Currently we stock Beckson Deck Access Plates in 4, 5, 6, & 8 in. diameters in either a Screw–Out or Pry–Out orientation.

If Beckson Deck Plates are being installed in high traffic areas, like the cockpit of a Sportfish or CC, then you’ll probably want to use a “Textured Finish”. This will prevent Anglers from slipping if the surface becomes wet, which is typically the case most of the time on fishing boats. “Clear Deck Plates” are typically utilized to view any marine component or device that you need to periodically view below decks or anywhere else on the boat. Deck Plates can also be used if you have an area on the boat where you want to add more dry storage space. Simple cut -out the area of wood, fiberglass, or aluminum to match the diameter of the Deck plate you’re planning on using. Seal with a waterproof marine caulk and fasten it down into the deck or any other area of the boat. Some of the Deck Plates we offer also come with a bag that can be used to contain items you wish to keep dry, while onboard.

The most important component of the Deck Plate is the Gasket. The Gasket provides both the seal & the closure. Keep them lubricated with Teflon or Silicone Grease periodically & also keep the threads clean on the Screw–Out Cover Plate Series.
