Durable and smooth… this is my second back bay. Use for inshore fishing reds, trout, flounder, etc. spoiled w 20# braid and top shot of mojo or fluoro. Love that these reels are sealed and they rival smoothness of shimano stradic. However they are a bit heavier than shimanos.

Paired this with a Crowder rod and J-Braid and it is by far my favorite reel. Super smooth and casts way further than some of my other more expensive rigs. Daiwa never disappoints.

I bought mine in Sep 2019, used it for 5 times and my drag system is jammed, lost bunch of fish on my previous fishing trip. You have to spin the drag over 10 times to get the system to release the Tightness, other than that it’s a great reel, China made though.
