Typical Girl

I'm 37 and female with no electrical experience. It was easier than cooking. I bought a $15 kit from Walmart to cut and disconnect the original wire. Then I stripped the wire. Then I used to crimp piece to connect the wire to the new device. Screwed back in place. I am terrified of electricity so I unplugged my rv and flipped the switch off to the battery. Took less than 10 minutes because I had the tools ready to go. Super easy and works like it should.

The OEM unit in our 2014 Airstream decided it was done. After quick research the OEM unit is no longer made and a few online resellers bought up NOS and doubled the price on them. No thanks. Bought this one as it is close in size . To fit factory hole I simply modified the OEM plastic surround enlarging the opening so this one would pressfit into the surround.

I have a 2017 Forest River Vibe 272BHS and my old detector just reached the end of its life. It took some searching to find it, but this unit is an exact match with the OEM unit that came with the RV.Installation is very simple. Just remove the unit from the packaging. Remove the wall mount from the back of the unit old unit. You can either use the existing mount or switch it out for the new mount that is attached to the back of the unit.. this is easily done with just a few screws. You will the

The mounting flange makes installation easy, just have to run electrical lines from your battery.
