Bought two new scotty 1106 one showed up with a broken depth counter. Seems to be an on going problem with scotty downriggers. Even the replacement counters are cheap and don't last long. Second one had the bolt missing that holds the main arm in place. Almost lost a pole out of the rod holder when the arm rotated around.

Come on Scotty! at lease tell us when ordering electric downriggers that a 2114 30 inline amp fuse assembly is required. I’ve been using Scotty products exclusively since 1994 and it’s not like you to miss this important note.The two purchased 1106 downriggers were easy to install. However, disappointed that I can’t use the downriggers without fuse being installed.
