Use the included GT52 transducer to get Garmin CHIRP traditional sonar plus CHIRP ClearVü and CHIRP SideVü scanning sonars.

We go fishing. Don't understand fish finder instructions

the depth finder works, but the mapping is absolutely horrible. I own two other depth finders from Garmin, and as you'd expect from a GPS mapping company, the mapping and the depth contours are great, so I assume this will be good too. Not so fast! All I get on this one is a yellow screen with coordinates, no detail even as to if I'm on water! You'd think that would be important info to have if its foggy out. Oh and the cherry on top is that they don't give active support on this model, only in…ternet and it appears to be a current model! So I bought this thing, it doesn't really work, and its too light to be used as an anchor.DO YOUR RESEARCH!

Works great,small with a ton of features for the price. Lots of YouTube videos to help set it up. Power mine with a cordless tool battery,lasts all day on 1 bar of power
