I have used Rule pumps for many years. Kept one in a family boat, and I have another at the cabin thats maybe 30 years old we use to put in the canoes and row boat to pump out after a rain. I bought one for home to help me remove the water from a pool cover to make it easier then starting a siphon in a hose. I used it twice and its dead. This is a small 15 foot pool. maybe 100-200 gallons it pumped in all. They don't make them like the used too.

This appears to be a nice strong pump for it's size. I haven't tried it with much lift distance. Wish it had slightly lower current draw for the application I'm using it for (portable evaporative cooler), but with a PWM speed controller inline to adjust it's speed down a bit, it's working nicely, with "just the water flow needed."

Small pump. Replaced a 30 year old rule pump with this rule pump. They look identical. Same footprint. Fits easily in my tight space. Works well. Fast shipping, good value and easy installation.

Overpriced, poor quality pump. There are much better pumps out there.

Easly installed

I will always pay more for a Rule vs. a generic bilge pump considering what's at stake. I was disappointed though that they changed this model to have a wider base that doesn't fit the basket base on the previous version. Beware that if you don't use the blue basket that comes with this model, water will shoot out both sides and it will not work. Also, you will need more room to attach the discharge hose to this model as the screw on stalk is hard plastic. It does allow for double clamping thou

Arrived in a soft plastic bag that looked as if it was a football punted through a field goal. Surprised it wasn’t broken and it worked when hooked up.Took picture of exactly how it arrived.

I use this pump for a water tank inside a greenhouse. It stays submerged and runs with solar panels. The first one lasted just under two years. I am now on my second one.

Worked for one summer. Rule was kind enough to hastily replace it under their warranty. The second attempt has lasted one summer so far!

So I chose to use this to pump water out of a 100 gallon container to water flowers. If you take your garden hose and turn on full blast will fill a 5 gallon bucket in 1 minute. So 5 gallons X’s 60 (minutes) would equal 300. My point is it doesn’t even have the same pressure as your hose at home so it’s not pumping 500 GPH. It’s taking me a very long time to empty 40 gallons the rise above pump might be 24” and it’s pumping down hill. Not happy with what I got and wondering if I ordered 100
