Self priming and can be used for more than bilge pumping.

My Bilge always has 1inch or better of water in it, over probably a 5-10 foot span holding atleast 5 gallons of water. Maybe more? Anyway my Rule 1500 Bilge pumps keeps it at around that level but I decided to install one of these to bring the level down a bit. I now have less then 1/2 of water in my bilge over about a foot or so span. I wish I had some sort of sump in my bilge to bring it less but I dont. I am much happier now and my boat smells much nicer.
