Xantrex PROwatt SW600 - True Sine Wave Inverter

I have had this inverter hooked up to a solar panel and it provides power to a fountain pump. Works great.

Worked as intended. I bought it run a ice making machine during camping and also to run Christmas lights. No problems

Surge protection is too sensitive

I'll keep this short and sweet. I bought this inverter in 2018, installed it in my camper and it worked great for the first couple of months. Then the inverter failed. It wouldn't charge my laptop and kept throwing error codes. I called up Xantrex and they sent me a brand new inverter at no cost to me, no questions asked! They didn't even ask me to send the old inverter back. The new inverter has worked flawlessly now for over a year.

I like this inverter and it worked fine for my uses until I tested it running the refrigerator in my kitchen. The frig is a Samsung with water & ice dispenser. When running the frig for a few minutes the gfci would trip on the inverter. I tried it several times with the same result. I then plugged the frig into the gfci circuit in the kitchen and it was fine, no gfci trip. A little internet searching showed that refrigerators tripping gfci is a rather common problem. My conclusion: the gfci in… this inverter is very sensitive, which can be a good thing unless you want to power a refrigerator that's less than perfect.

Hooked up to the car battery .While traveling it keeps the refrigerator cool and the rv alternator has no problem running the Inverter Prowatt Sw 600 and charging the battery . My refrigerator draws 300 watts and the inverter draws 27 amps from the battery. I bought the transfer relay which disconnects the inverter ac side when hooked into land power . Also purchased the remote switch which turns the inverter on and off remotely so you can mount the inverter anywhere . Follow mounting instr…uctions to allow adequate air flow .This unit has provided me with many hours of trouble free operation.

This device works great. I wish i had purchased at least a 1000 watt device.

I bought this from Amazon in 2010, this power inverter is still going strong. No problems and well built.

It worked for several days. It was nice while it lasted. I ran a motor that the inverter was struggling to keep up with... then it stopped. The weird thing is that I've unplugged, reset everything, etc. and it looks normal but there's no A/C voltage. Bummer.
