C.E. Smith Outboard Motor Dolly - 250lb. - Red

Although I've yet to clamp my 110 lb. motor on this dolly (it's on the boat until winter), the dolly seems very sturdy, stable and should do the job well. I would've given 5 stars but a required nut was missing from the parts bag and the bag was unopened nor damaged, the nut was never in it. If you don't have a shop full of nuts and bolts be prepared to go to the hardware store. Delivery was prompt. This dolly is far superior to my previously purchased dolly that was under $100 and made out of …flimsy round tubular metal with weak wheels and I always feared it would collapse with the motor on it.

I feel that this unit is very sturdy, I have a 100+ pound 20 hp motor I’m using it for. It would be a bit better if the casters could lock.

I wanted a 4 wheel stand for ease of maneuvering in tight areas without tilting it. I use this stand for a 20 hp 4 stroke ob which weights over 100 pounds. Other stands with 4 wheels had poor reviews. My outboard dealer uses this stand for a reason. So, it cost more for a stand I can depend on.

Heavy box took a tiny bit of damage with paint scraped, but this is a solid reasonably priced mount for your outboard. Very easy to haul around over rough terrain. A relief after so many cheaper flimsy mounts.

Solidly built and easy to assemble. Works great for my new 15hp Honda 4-stroke and is definitely sturdy enough for much bigger outboards.

Bulletproof.

This is well built, sturdy and does the job of transporting our small outboard engine from boat to garage for servicing. Easy to put together.

I'd bet this thing would hold twice its rating. Very heavy duty steel, unlike the ones that seem to be made of lawn chair tubing. Glad I spent the extra money for this one. The only disappointment is that it is made in China.
